Building Self-Belief Charity Golf Fundraising Day

Our Charity Golf Fundraising Day was a wonderful success, bringing together a fantastic group of supporters for an enjoyable day of golf, fundraising, and community spirit. Blessed with great weather and a great atmosphere throughout the day, with thanks to Consett and District Golf Club, participants enjoyed friendly competition on the course while helping to raise funds for our charity. It was a pleasure to see so many familiar faces alongside new supporters. We would like to extend a really big thank you to everyone who took part, including our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and those who generously donated prizes and raffle items. The support, generosity, and enthusiasm helped make the event such a great occasion. The funds raised will go towards supporting our ongoing work, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success.Special thank you to our teams: NE Youth and Pelton Youth Project, Durham Freemasons , St James’s Place, Eastlake Productions , Eddie’s team , & Consett and District.Watch the reel below:

This project was created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the 1826 Stargate Pit Disaster near Ryton, Gateshead. This poem presents the mine as a terrifying monster, symbolising the fear, danger and destruction caused by the 1826 Stargate Pit Disaster, where 38 people lost their lives.
