We are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring Consett Anarchy fooball team. They approached us when they were short of funds to buy a kit and coats, so we stepped up as this is a great way to give something back in support of the local community. Our volunteer, Eddie Thomas, is also a Consett AFC first team player, so he came along to present the shirts and deliver a training session to the team. David is 71 years old and was born in the Richard Murray Hospital at Blackhill, which was where everybody was born, and lived on Benfieldside Road in Blackhill. His father was a ‘Bevin Boy’, during the war you were either sent as a soldier or down the mines, if you were unlucky the mines were worse.

Please join us on Tuesday 29th April at South Shields FC for Kye's Kick Off! This is a charity football match between Boldon School Yr 9 VS Yr 11 in memory of Kye Cunnington. All funds raised are going to Teenage Cancer Trust in Yorkshire, the Humber and the North East. ⚽️
