They approached us when they were short of funds to buy a kit and coats, so we stepped up as this is a great way to give something back in support of the local community. Our volunteer, Eddie Thomas, is also a Consett AFC first team player, so he came along to present the shirts and deliver a training session to the team. 'Was the Sacrifice Worth It?'
This project was created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the 1826 Stargate Pit Disaster near Ryton, Gateshead. This moving poem focuses on the perspective of a mother questioning the terrible cost of sending her sons to work in the mines after losing them in the disaster.

Kye's Kick Off - Boldon School Charity Match
Please join us on Tuesday 29th April at South Shields FC for Kye's Kick Off! This is a charity football match between Boldon School Yr 9 VS Yr 11 in memory of Kye Cunnington. All funds raised are going to Teenage Cancer Trust in Yorkshire, the Humber and the North East. ⚽️
