Tow Law Eco Ambassadors Film
The ‘Tow Law Eco-Youth Ambassadors Project’ was delivered by Building Self-Belief CIO and was kindly supported by the Energy Saving Trust Foundation and Airbnb. This project supported youth-led conservation and sustainability-based activities that focused upon youth led engagement to improve and educate the wider community on the current climate crisis. Teenage Girls’ Emotional Wellbeing & Aspirations Programme
We successfully delivered a twelve-week programme to support vulnerable teenage girls in Stanley, in an area of high socio-economic deprivation. Our project focused on early interventions to prevent longer term mental health issues, particularly with those who are suffering due to the impact of COVID-19.

Delves Lane Primary School Poetry Anthology
The children at Delves Lane Primary School learnt about the history of the Consett Steelworks and developed their understanding of the impact that the steelworks closure had, and continues to have, on the community. They created paintings, poems and decorated a quilt. Each group chose a photo relating to the Consett Steelworks, and wrote their own poems using poetic techniques. We hope you enjoy them!

Consett Steelworks - Children's Research & Community Project | Building Self-Belief CIO
During the summer term of 2024, the children of Moorside Primary School in Consett, County Durham, participated in a project delivered by Building Self-Belief CIO, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the County Durham Community Foundation. This initiative aimed to bring the Consett community together around their shared industrial heritage. The children developed skills in creative writing, poetry, art, photography, communication, and historical research.
