"Stanley's Superhero" - South Stanley Junior School

This poem was created by Drew, Robert, Byron, Livy and Imogen, Year 6 pupils at South Stanley Junior School as part of our 'Celebrating Stanley' project. They were inspired by Michael Heaviside, whose heroic actions in the First World War earned him the Victoria Cross. Through their words, the pupils show why Heaviside remains an enduring symbol of strength and honour in Stanley's history.
