Yvonne's Celebration of Stanley

Yvonne is extremely proud of the Stanley area and has fond memories of living and working in the town. She feels that with a relatively small amount of investment the town can return to its former glory, and in particular focus on a more purposeful use of  the derelict buildings on the Front Street.

Consett Steelworks - Children's Research & Community Project | Building Self-Belief CIO

During the summer term of 2024, the children of Moorside Primary School in Consett, County Durham, participated in a project delivered by Building Self-Belief CIO, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the County Durham Community Foundation. This initiative aimed to bring the Consett community together around their shared industrial heritage. The children developed skills in creative writing, poetry, art, photography, communication, and historical research.

Is EdTech the Way Forward?

With the prospect of social isolation, the traditional methods of teaching are no longer applicable. A new way of long distance learning needs to be swiftly incorporated to ensure all students get the very best support at this crucial time. The most obvious solution is educational technology – EdTech.
