Holly Taylor

About Holly

Holly first joined Building Self-Belief as a placement student from Newcastle University in 2021, where she quickly became a valued member of the team. During her placement, she was involved in supporting the development and delivery of programmes that helped enhance the self-belief of children and young people. This experience cemented her passion for reducing health inequalities and empowering young people and adults to reach their potential.

Since then, Holly has achieved a First-Class degree in Psychology with Sport and Exercise Science from Newcastle University, followed by a Distinction in her MSc in Health Psychology from the University of Bath. She has developed more than 100 wellbeing resources - available on our website - working alongside NHS professionals, clinical psychologists, and other specialists. Holly also produces our Annual Report and supports the development and maintenance of our website, helping us share our impact widely with partners, funders, and families.

Holly continues to support the charity as a Research Assistant and plays a key role in our research partnerships. She is also a member of the StART Research Group at the University of Bath, where her work spans sport, organisational, and healthcare settings. Her recent projects - currently progressing through publication - include collaborations with UK Sport, Team Bath, GB Paralympics, and Avon and Somerset Police, and her research has helped shape national policy, including the 2025 revision of the UK Paralympic Classification Code.

Recognised for her leadership and impact, Holly was nominated by Building Self-Belief and has since successfully completed the Aspen Institute UK Rising Leaders Fellowship
