The following anthology was created by the children of Christ Church C of E Primary School throughout the 2022 summer term. It was delivered by Building Self-Belief CIO and kindly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. The children developed their creative writing, musical, poetry, art, photographic, communication and historical research skills in bringing this anthology together.

They researched the lives of those who worked at Consett Steelworks known as 'The Company', between 1840-1980, and developed their understanding of the impact that the steelworks closure had on the town.

First World War Memorial Anthology - Tow Law Millennium Primary School

The following anthology was created by the children of Tow Law Millennium Primary School throughout the 2019 summer term. They researched the experiences of the men who fell in the Great War 1914-1918, as named on the Tow Law War memorial, as well as studying the impact of the Great War on the Home Front at Tow law and the local community.
