Congratulations Hugo - GNR 2024!
Once again our fabulous Chair, Dr Hugo Minney has completed the Great North Run on our behalf. The Great North Run is a spectacular event for the whole region and it is so brilliant to see so many people running on behalf of so many charities.
We are always grateful for the time and effort Hugo repeatedly puts in to such an event. His barefoot running is a great conversation starter!

Designing a Steel Statue for Consett
On Tuesday 28th January, we hosted a fundraiser and design session to generate some ideas about what the community want the Ray Lonsdale statue to look like. We were very lucky to have renowned artist Ray Lonsdale with us, who gave a talk about his artistic journey and past designs, and answered all of our questions about his statues and how we should go about creating our own for Consett.

The Teenage Boys Mental Wellbeing and Aspirations Programme with Harton Academy
In February, we began another one of our wellbeing and aspirations programmes, this time at Harton Academy with year 10 boys. We delivered a series of workshops and activities, before taking the students on a trip to JUMP and go-karting.
