Congratulations Hugo - GNR 2024!
Once again our fabulous Chair, Dr Hugo Minney has completed the Great North Run on our behalf. The Great North Run is a spectacular event for the whole region and it is so brilliant to see so many people running on behalf of so many charities.
We are always grateful for the time and effort Hugo repeatedly puts in to such an event. His barefoot running is a great conversation starter!

The Monster of Consett
Lucas, Jacob, Jayden, Alan, and Roan collaborated in groups to explore the deep impact of Consett Steelworks on their local community, uncovering both its positive and negative influences. They then transformed their insights into a powerful poem, capturing what it was like to live in Consett at that time.

Kye's Kick Off - Charity Football Match In Memory of Kye Cunnington
Kye's Kick Off was a charity football match on Tuesday 29th April at South Shields FC. The match was between Boldon School's Yr 9 VS Yr 11, in memory of much loved student, Kye Cunnington. The total amount raised for Teenage Cancer Trust was just over £4000!

The Consett "Bridging the Gap Youth Employability Programme" was kindly supported by Newcastle Building Society via the Tyne and Wear Community Foundation, and The Albert Hunt Trust. As part of this the students consulted the young people of the Consett Area as part of the preparation of the Consett Area Neighbourhood Plan..
