The ‘Moorside Bridging the Gap Youth Employability & Aspirations Programme’ was designed to raise the career-based aspirations of young people from Moorside in Consett. The programme allowed the children to explore a wide range of future careers through workshops, interviews, external trips and experiences.This programme was kindly supported by Point North and completed with the brilliant Year 5 and 6 from Moorside Primary Academy.

During the conversation, Jean mentions a royal visit to the steelworks, prompting Maisie to enquire about its accuracy. Upon researching, we discovered that the event did indeed occur.
